About Lynn Hastings

Lynn Hastings is an artist with a love for painting in oil and watercolor. Born in 1965, she was raised in rural Michigan, then later moved to attend college at Miami University in Oxford Ohio, where she earned her BFA in Graphic Design & Illustration/Painting and her MA in Art Education. Lynn has held positions as a Graphic Artist, Illustrator, Assistant Director of Advertising for H.Wolfe & Sons, and an Art Educator in the Little Miami School District, while also creating commissioned fine art since 1987. Lynn Hastings has been painting for more than 35 years and as an American Realist Painter, remains very active in the artist community by participation in the organizations, Oil Painters of America, the Ohio Plein Air Society, and the American and Ohio Art Education Associations. Having studied under such artists as, Todd Bonita, Alex McKibben, and Taylor Jacobsen, she continues to attend painting workshops and events all over the United States. Lynn has a passion for enriching lives through art and therefore continues to offer classes and workshops out of her studio in Morrow, Ohio. Lynn Hastings’ art focuses on rural America, the beauty found in the land, its honest & hard working people, and the simple peace and quiet of its surroundings.
